ProximiT: MBTA Boston Transit App Reviews

This app has saved me a lot of grief commuting to and from work (and a bit of frostbite in the colder months). My only complaint is the always-on location data. My battery and I would both appreciate an "in-use only" option for the app.

Its pretty much on the nose except for sudden delays right before a station (Ive tracked subways while on them to see how the delays work) for all lines but the Green and nothing can be done about the Green. Great for when the time signs in the subway arent working (like in Harvard right this moment!).

Can we get some improvements here please??? The app hasnt shown a train for me in months and every time I try to refresh it says "update failed :(". Appreciate your cute smiley face but how about you fix it instead??

This is the best and most accurate T app I have ever used. It hasnt failed me yet. Red/orange line

Very good and real time

I was heading to Oak Grove the first time I tried this app (the day after the blizzard) and as I was getting out of my car it said my train was leaving in 2mins with another 8mins away. As I was walking toward the station I heard the buzzer. I missed the 1st train, but no biggie, another train is right behind this one. Nope, I had to wait over 10mins for the next train. Frustrating...

First time running it it wont let you do anything except to turn on tracking you, no other buttons or swipes, just a turn on tracking button. I dont need or want it to track me. I just want maps and schedule. I will tell it where I am if needed.

I use this for the red line and blue line, so I cannot speak to how it works with the orange/green. But with the blue/red it does miss about half the time; it will just give wildly inaccurate predictions and when I get to the actual train stop its pretty disappointing. So I would say use this app when you are not in a rush or actually dependent on it-make sure not to rely on it.

Weve been looking for a useful app for a while, finally we ran across this app that truly helps us plan and efficiently navigate Boston.

Why does this app exist? It only seems to tell which lines are near and the times .... Does not break out green lines.
